Originally developed in the U.S.A., the Gooseneck Basketball System is engineered to withstand even the toughest inner‑city environments, delivering long‑term durability and consistent performance.
The in‑ground unit features a galvanised steel, fan‑shaped backboard measuring 53″ x 45″ (135 x 115cm), finished in classic white with black detailing. Built for outdoor use, the backboard is both highly durable and fully weather resistant.
A solid 18″ (45cm) steel powder‑coated ring, combined with a heavy‑duty zinc‑coated post, provides an impressive load‑bearing capacity of up to 280kg. The ring uses a standard Euro DIN 4‑hole fixing pattern (4.5″ x 3.5″ / 110mm x 90mm) and is supplied with a white 12‑loop nylon net. Pole padding is included as standard to enhance player safety.
The Gooseneck system is EN 1270 safety tested and requires installation into a 1m (39″) cubed concrete footing.
Replacement backboards and rings are available (products 65143 and 65264).
Approved by Basketball England, the unit is supplied with an official Basketball England logo on the backboard.
