Wetpour Rubber & Bonded Rubber Mulch Surfacing is perfect for playgrounds whether they be school or council-run.
About this installation
Affordable, attractive and safety conscious, rubber surfacing for playgrounds is time and again the best option. Continuous Wetpour Rubber Crumb is a popular safety surfacing as it provides many years of low maintenance use, along with a contemporary and colourful appearance.
Its finished appearance is likened to tarmac but it is formed from either black or coloured rubber granules mixed with a specialist binder. Our team of wet pour rubber crumb installers has remained unchanged for over 10 years, giving our customers confidence that our expertise in the field of laying this type of rubber safety surface is second to none.
We work to European standards EN1176 and EN1177.
Sportsafe undertake complete groundworks, excavating and laying appropriate drainage materials before installing the base and top rubber surfaces if necessary. We install new surfaces and can also overlay new rubber over old rubber wet pour or tiled surfaces.
We work to European standards EN1176 and EN1177 which recommend the thickness of surface needed. The thickness of rubber ranges from 20mm to 90mm and is dependent on the critical fall height of the play equipment.
Brighten up your play area!
The predominant colour laid is black as it is the most moderately priced, but green and red are within most budgets and are often chosen to cheer up and brighten a shady play area. Most other colours are also available.
We use only the best quality raw materials and alongside our installation expertise, this gives our customers the satisfying knowledge that they are receiving a quality safety surface, from which they will have trouble-free use for many years.
Rubber Mulch Surfacing – Upminster
Branfil Primary School desperately needed to find a surfacing solution to replace their existing carpet which sat underneath a trim-trail. The trail was unusable following a safety issue, causing the carpet to be taken over by a severe moss infestation.

What our customers say
-
Everything we had talked about was delivered, from the equipment being high quality to the installation teams being on time, courteous and professional. And most of all - that the kids would love it. We have had to timetable usage as it has proved so popular! We will definitely be coming back to Sportsafe when we want to increase our equipment because they had such great advice and value for money.

Can I please comment on the excellent service we received from your Engineer, Wayne Fowler, when he visited our site this morning. He was extremely professional, courteous and thorough, and happy to discuss in detail the recommendations he would be making and explaining the reasons for these. This was much appreciated. Thank you.

The Report on the equipment we have received from yourselves is perfect and exactly what we required to let the College see that the work has been done. Also your Quote for repairs being with the report allows myself to pass it on to those who give the okay for these sort of repairs. Once again I congratulate all who made this an enjoyable experience compared with what I have dealt with previously.

Sportsafe brings along a full set of supplies to action small repairs there and then and provides quotes for any larger items in need of attention. Our visiting Engineer, also took the time to liaise with our maintenance staff and provide feedback and tips on how best to maintain our equipment in the future. I would recommend Sportsafe to any International School who would like to ensure their sporting equipment and facilities, both indoor and outdoor, are safe and fit for purpose.

I would just like to say “Thank you” to you and your team, things are running a lot smoother this time round, and I think the schools must like the new reports as they actually email me to let me know what has been repaired and when its booked in for repairs, which is something they never used to do even though they were asked to. So Thank you all Again.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you once again for accommodating us with the re-attendance of an engineer. Aaron was very helpful, providing advice and support – something I greatly appreciated, especially as I am new to the role. Therefore, could I kindly request that while I am the Site Manager at Boston High School and where Aaron’s availability allows, he be our preferred engineer to attend moving forward? He is a credit to the company and a thoroughly decent chap.
